How to Build a New Self with Jin Shin Jyutsu

There always comes a time when we need to reinvent ourselves, to let go of old habits and build something new. After all, if Confucius was right to say so, each one of us is like an egg – either evolve or decay. 🙂

So, what does one do to renew and rebuild oneself? May I suggest a flow here for consideration. Here are the steps to build a new, better, strong self out of the ruins of the old.

Demolish the old and take the garbage out

Begin by placing your right hand on the right little toe and the left hand on the outside of the right ankle (R 16).

Time to rest and meditate on what is

While holding the outside of your right ankle (R 16) with your left hand, remove your right hand from the right little toe and place it at the right sit bone (R 25).

Our Power begins to accumulate and we find our own Authority

Move the left hand from the ankle (R 16) to the right elbow, thumb-side (R 19). The right hand remains at the right sit bone (R 25).

Find guidance and direction

We can reach out to our intuition and at the same time calm our nerves and anxieties by bringing the function of Safety Energy Lock 17 into the process. Since it’s tricky to hold your own elbow (R 19) and the outer wrist (R 17), simply place your right thumb over your right ring fingernail. Now, you have the left hand on the elbow (R 19) and your right hand forms Mudra No 6.

Begin to build

While keeping your left hand on the elbow (R 19), form a fist with your right hand so that that the tips of your fingers reach the base of the thumb (the area of R 18).

Keep it together

End by having the mental and emotional strength to keep the new together. Place your left hand on the left side of the groin area (L 15) and keep the right hand in a fist touching the base of the thumb (R 18).

Remember to laugh! Nothing in this world of shapes is as serious as it appears to be.

Lovely, Tatiana. I’m still experiencing the transformation of this flow💟

Marie, I just calmed my pulses last night by doing just this flow steps. First, they were pronounced along the bust line both superficial and deep. There was some sticky/blurry quality but I’m not sure if that was gummy or some other garden variety of pulses… After doing the flow, however, they calmed down to an even and balanced, slight and rhythmic pulsation. When I woke up this morning, I just had to share… 🙂
