Liver Function Energy
Pathway
At 2 a.m. Gall Bladder becomes Liver Function Energy at the big toenail.
From the big toe, it ascends from the inner (medial) side of the big toenail through the inner ankle, up the leg through the groin and crosses the body at the pubic bone area.
Next, each side ascends through the abdomen, stomach.
The right side that started from the right toe flows through the gall bladder (on the left side of the body) and continues through the diaphragm before it splits into three branches.
The left side that started from the left toe flows through the pancreas (on the right) and continues through the diaphragm before it splits into three branches.
Branch (a) (each side) ascends to first rib, crosses the body back to the original side and flows into the same side underarm area. For example, the left flow started at the left big toenail and scatters at the left underarm.
Branch (b) (each side) ascends and crosses the body back at the throat, continues along its original side upward along the throat and face, back of the eye, flowing into the head to become the cerebrum flow and eventually descends back through the esophagus, scattering at the outer side of stomach.
Branch (c) (each side) flows into the lung. Thus, the right side flows into the left lung, while the left side flows into the right lung.
At 4 a.m., at the lung, Liver becomes Lung Function Energy and completes the 12-stage daily energetic cycle.

Zodiacal Energy of Pisces
Liver Function Energy is 12th in the diurnal division and thus corresponds to the astrological energy of Pisces. As the 12th and last part of the 12-fold division, both resonate with outer-of-this-world matters, spiritual healing, and overall awareness that the world extends beyond what we see on the material plane.
Neck Conditions
There are at least two flows that help with stiff-neck conditions from the 12 Function Energy. According to Wayne Hackett, for acute recent discomfort in the neck, the Large Intestine Function Energy is most likely to bring us into harmony. For chronic and prolonged neck conditions, however, it is the Liver Function Energy that helps.
