Left and Right Diagonal Harmonizing Energy (Mediator)

Pathway

Left Mediator

The Mediator pathway is remarkably beautiful. If you stand with your legs apart and your arms outstretched—like Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man—its form resembles an intricately tied ribbon.

The Left Mediator begins at the left shoulder in the area of Safety Energy Lock 3. It travels up the outer side of the arm, circles the left little finger, and flows back down through SEL 19. Across the chest, it crosses at the level of the third front rib near SEL 13, then wraps around the body to the coccyx. From there, it descends along the outer side of the left leg through SEL 8, moves across the top of the foot, loops around the left fourth toe, and ascends along the inner side of the leg.

As it rises, the flow passes through SEL 1 and the coccyx, where it crosses from front to back and begins descending along the right side of the spine. Reaching the right SEL 3, it ascends the right arm, circles the right thumb, and descends through the right SEL 19. Once again, near the third front rib (SEL 13), it wraps around the body, reaches the coccyx, and continues down the right leg, completing its path in the area of the right SEL 8.

Along its course, the Mediator crosses the body twice at the third front rib (SEL 13) and twice at the coccyx. It encircles both arms and one leg, touching the same-side little finger, the opposite thumb, and the same-side fourth toe.

The Right Mediator follows a mirrored path.

To Harmonize

The following sequence comes from SH1, p.19 and TH, p.53 and is easily done while sitting in a chair. All steps are held simultaneously.

Left Side: Place the right hand over the left shoulder. With the left hand, place the thumb over the left ring fingernail. Keep the knees touching.

Right Side: Place the left hand over the right shoulder. With the right hand, place the thumb over the right ring fingernail. Keep the knees touching.

An alternative sequence comes from T1, p.48 and is easily done while lying down. All steps are held simultaneously.

Left Side: Bring the right foot to touch the left inner knee. Place the right hand over the left shoulder. With the left hand, place the thumb over the left ring fingernail.

Right Side: Bring the left foot to touch the left inner knee. Place the left hand over the right shoulder. With the right hand, place thumb over the right ring fingernail.

The Hi 19 – Hi 1 sequence is yet another excellent alternative for harmonizing the Mediator.

If you are interested in a longer harmonizing sequence, the 16-17-18-19 helps the Mediator as well.

Further Commentary

The function of the Mediator can be understood through the original Japanese names given by Jiro Murai. He called the Left and Right Diagonal Harmonizing Energies Izanagi and Izanami, after the Japanese deities of creation. According to legend, the original gods summoned two divine beings—Izanagi, the male (Left Mediator), and Izanami, the female (Right Mediator)—and entrusted them with creating the first land, the manifested body.

The Mediator Energy represents this activating principle through which manifestation begins to take form. It is the point where the energetic blueprints set in motion by the Trinity and the Safety Energy Locks start to give rise to the individual energy body, which includes the twelve Body (Organ) Function Energies and the 144,000 Special Body Function Energies.

The Mediator is responsible for harmonizing the five manifested depths and ensuring that each fulfills its corresponding function.

“This being ‘mediator’ flow, if it is not in harmony, it will be the main cause for malfunctions in body energy circulation patterns.”
—[T1, p.52]

A persistent negative emotion is called an attitude, and each of the five manifested depths has an attitude associated with it. Because the Mediator governs the harmonization of all manifested depths, it is the first energetic pathway to register the effects of an attitude.

For example, the first-depth attitude of worry prevents the Mediator from harmonizing the first depth, whose function is to create the surface skin. When this occurs, symptoms may appear on the skin itself. Likewise, the attitudes of sadness, anger, fear, and pretense interfere with the Mediator’s ability to harmonize the second, third, fourth, and fifth depths, respectively—each disruption affecting the corresponding function within the body.

Relationships

Bust Line

The Mediator crosses the body twice at the level of the third front rib (in the area of Safety Energy Lock 13) and is active along the Bust Line. Any flow that clears and opens the Bust Line will naturally harmonize the Mediator Energy—and vice versa.

For example, the 10 Flow can serve as an alternative to the Mediator Flow. The First Method Correction, which restores the Mediator’s relationship with itself, also helps clear and balance the Bust Line.

SEL 10

Safety Energy Lock 10 relates to the inhaling aspect of the Bust Line (as it resides on the back) and maintains a close connection with the Mediator Energy. When indicators suggest the need to harmonize the Mediator Flow, the 10 Flow may be used as an alternative or in alternation with the Mediator Harmonizing Sequence.
